Our Story
It started on a tiny, cobblestoned dead-end street called Archery Close in the heart of London's Connaught Village — lined with narrow houses and overflowing flower boxes. We lived there with our (then) young daughters, and it was on walks through the surrounding neighbourhood — past the boutiques, the coffee shops, the elegantly dressed strangers — that we fell in love with the idea that fashion could be both personal and approachable. What struck us most about London style wasn't the labels — it was the individuality. People wore things because they loved them, not because they were told to. They mixed designers with vintage, dressed up for a Tuesday, and always seemed entirely themselves. That feeling is what we set out to recreate when we opened Archery Close.
Years later, we made the move we'd always dreamed of — trading city life for the mountains of Stowe, Vermont. We opened our boutique on Mountain Road, a place we hope feels a little like that London street: warm, welcoming, and full of pieces with real personality. Stowe has that same rare quality — a small town with the heart of somewhere much bigger. It draws people who appreciate beauty, craftsmanship, and the joy of getting dressed well.
Every brand we carry is one we genuinely love. From the structured tailoring of Smythe to the joyful prints of Stine Goya, the ethical sneakers of Veja to the rugged reliability of Faherty and Relwen — we choose designers who make clothes with intention. You won't find trend-chasing here. You'll find pieces you'll wear for years.
We're a small team, and we love what we do. Whether you're shopping with us in-store, calling us from across the country, or emailing at an odd hour wondering about sizing — we're here. We offer personal styling consultations, in-store alterations, and the kind of honest advice you'd only get from people who wear this stuff themselves. Come say hello at 1650 Mountain Road in Stowe, or shop with us online anytime.
