The chain stitch runoff found on the side gussets is an interesting detail and a nod to vintage shirts. Early workwear shirts were made with authentic high-quality sewing machines that produced this run-off effect when finished. These would usually get cut off in production but were occasionally missed. The Brace Shirt in Velour Knit is made from a unique knit fabric with a velvety finish. Because it is a knit, they can add a bit of stretch for comfort and mobility which is not possible with hides or other similar non-knit materials.
